Breast examinations
Breast health is important and our doctors can perform routine breast examinations and, if needed, refer you for a mammogram or to see a specialist.

Menstrual health
We can help with any menstrual health concerns and arrange referrals to specialists if necessary.
Iron infusion
Women are at a greater risk of iron deficiency anaemia. Our doctors can diagnose iron deficiency anaemia through a routine blood test and treat it through dietary and lifestyle changes, supplements or, if necessary, a Ferinject iron infusion. You can learn more about iron infusions on our dedicated service page.
IUDs: Long-Lasting Contraception
Are you looking for a reliable, long-term birth control option that fits your lifestyle? Intrauterine Devices (IUDs) help prevent pregnancy while providing an option that doesn’t require the need for daily pills.

Why Choose an IUD?
-
Long-Lasting ProtectionDepending on the type you choose, IUD’s can last up to 3-10 years.
-
Highly Reliable: According to The Royal Women’s Hospital, IUD’s are over 99% effective and are among the most reliable forms of birth control available.
-
Low Maintenance: Once inserted, there’s nothing you need to do—no daily pills or monthly refills.

Is an IUD Right for You?
IUDs provide those seeking long-term, reversible contraception with a great option. We, however, always encourage our patients to discuss any medical procedure with their doctor so they can make an informed decision on whether it is right for them.

The Cervical Screening Test
In Australia, the Cervical Screening Test has replaced the Pap Smear Test and is done once every five years. The most recent scientific research shows that having a Cervical Screening Test once every five years is safe and more effective than having a Pap Smear Test every two years. The Cervical Screening Test is a simple and quick procedure to evaluate the health of your cervix.

Cervical cancer is a rare condition, and it usually takes about ten years for the abnormalities caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) to develop into cervical cancer. The Cervical Cancer Screening test is a more effective method of identifying any abnormalities at an early stage. Changes made to the cervical screening program are expected to protect up to 30% of women from cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer is preventable with a regular Cervical Screening Test. All women aged 25 to 74 years should have a cervical screening test once every five years until the age of 74. The first Cervical Screening Test should start at 25 years of age or two years after the last pap smear test. A normal result following a cervical screening test means you will be due in five years to have the next test.
